The love of skincare runs in the family. As the granddaughter of an Avon Lady, Carrie grew up playing with her grandmother’s makeup and skin creams. But it was her own struggle with dry skin and her daughter’s challenges with acne (and the effects of the medications) that compelled Carrie to debut The Swoon Aesthetic Spa and Acne Clinic. Unsatisfied with the results at traditional spas and the lackluster atmosphere at many med spas, Carrie set out to offer the best of both worlds. From that concept of clinical-level expertise in a beautiful and relaxing environment, Swoon was born. With Carrie’s team of medical aestheticians, physician assistant and medical director, Swoon uses the most modern products and the latest sciences and technologies to achieve the results their clients desire. Carrie’s great joy is helping her clients look and feel their best as they walk out the doors with renewed confidence.
Dr. David Azar, MD
Medical Director
Dr. David Azar MD received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2006. He is currently one of two pathologists for three hospitals, Indiana Regional Medical Center, Punxsutawney Area Hospital, and Clarion Hospital, reviewing surgical, cytology and fine needle aspirations specimens and bone marrow biopsies.
From 2017-2018, he served as Staff Pathologist for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for both Passavant Hospital and Magee Women's Hospital. During this time, he performed general pathology with a concentration on GYN, breast, GI, GU and thoracic pathology as well as participated in numerous multidisciplinary tumor boards and educational conferences.
Before moving to Pittsburgh, Dr. Azar served as Medical Director for Point of Care Testing, TearLab, in San Diego.
Amanda Paradiso, MPAS, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Amanda is a nationally Board-Certified Physician Assistant extensively trained in a variety of non-surgical procedures. She is a Mars, PA native and completed the Physician Assistant program at Gannon University in Erie, PA. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Science. After completing PA school, she went on to complete a surgical residency at Norwalk Hospital through Yale School of Medicine. She has spent the past 10 years in Connecticut working in plastic surgery with some of the best plastic surgeons. She just moved back to the area last year and is excited to bring all of her expertise from her training to our area!
Her experience, along with her warm, compassionate demeanor allow you to feel comfortable as she cares for all of your aesthetic needs. Her philosophy is not to change what you look like, but to enhance your natural beauty and help make your aging process more graceful. Her goal is to help with any insecurities and boost your self confidence. She specializes in Botox, fillers, and PRP treatments.
When not at work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family. Amanda and her husband, Nicholas, are parents to two little girls, Leona and Scarlett. Her daughters are her biggest motivation, pushing her to be a strong, successful role model for them. She is also mom to her BIGGEST baby, Buster, who is a 5 year old 200 pound English Mastiff puppy!

Growing up in a family owned hair salon, Tiffany grew roots in the beauty industry in her early youth. In addition to attending college for Fine Arts in 2010, she still continues to work as an assistant photographer. Tiffany’s esthetic career began in 2016 and since then she has obtained advanced education to provide progressive treatments to her clients. She offers a variety of results driven services to make her clients feel their absolute best.

Amanda loves making people feel confident. As a Pittsburgh Beauty Academy graduate, licensed cosmetologist, esthetician, and nail technician for 17+ years, she is attentive to all the details in every service performed. She is also experienced in the art of full body waxing. Everyone is beautiful! Amanda is passionate about helping clients find the healthiest ways to enhance that beauty.

Heather is a licensed Esthetician with over ten years of experience. She takes great pride and care in finding the latest result driven treatments for her clients to help them look and feel their best. Her drive and determination in helping her clients is what motivates her. Staying in touch with clients and being accessible to them is important to her. Heather's calming and caring personality makes her clients feel comfortable and relaxed during their services.
Geena Hammer

Geena has always had a passion for skincare and beauty. Her interests began when she was dealing with her own skincare concerns, specifically acne. In fact, the first time she ever came to Swoon was as a client! She loved the Spa so much she came back as a provider.
Geena especially loves results driven treatments and appreciates the value they bring to her clients. When not in the spa, Geena considers herself a foodie and loves to try new and unique places to eat in and around Pittsburgh. She has a cat named Moon and loves spend time with her family. We are so excited to have her on our team!

Dr. James Worry, DHSc, MPAS, PA-C
Dermatology PA-C
James Worry is a board certified Dermatology PA and a Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. James Worry holds a Doctorate of Health Science from NOVA Southeastern University and a Masters of Physician Assistant Science from St. Francis University.
Dr. Worry also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and as President of the Pennsylvania Dermatology PA Society. Additionally, Dr. Worry is recognized both locally and nationally for his dermatology expertise, serving as a clinical consultant for several pharmaceutical companies.
Jill Courville
Front Desk Receptionist and EmSculpt Specialist
Jill is a long-time Swoon client who recently joined the team to help with scheduling and front-end operations. She has experienced almost all of the services offered at the spa and is happy to share her impressions with clients. Jill’s passions are fitness, cooking, traveling, photography, and reading. When she is not at the Swoon, she enjoys spending time with her family and training her puppy, Cash.
